Home Study - Part 1

Today we had our first round of interviews with our social worker (she was pretty easy on us, or we were easy on her?) and next week is round two here at the house. We've been "accepted" by the Uganda program, which is in its infancy with Holt. They have been in the Country for awhile getting the program going and recently had their first child come home. It's exciting to think that our kids might be the 2nd and 3rd from that Country, the 1st and 2nd in Oregon! We had some other potentially exciting news in that meeting which you'll just have to wait for. We're waiting for more information ourselves, so it's not exactly like I'm withholding from you. Not exactly.

We have recently identified a piece of property that we feel strongly God has led us to. It has a house on it currently as well that needs some heavy duty work. We love that sort of thing, but need God's miracle to make it all work out. Those of you that are pray-ers, or know pray-ers, please put your hands together whenever you think of us and pray specifically that any offer we make is accepted! We're trying to think creatively to make this work, knowing that we also need to find a significant amount of money to make the adoption happen. We know God will provide for the call he's given us, but you can also pray that we won't be slave to the worry over money.

A week of nice weather means we are able to get the house painted this week, crucial to selling if we need to. In it's own way, this is another open door and sign of God's timing - exciting stuff to behold!

Excitement builds!
