Another definitive step... and good news! Our application has been approved (officially, I guess), and we've been assigned a social worker that will be with us through the remainder of our process and beyond. Jenner was so excited to hear the voicemail that he called me at work so I would call home and listen to it. When I asked him what he thought having a social worker assigned meant he said, "one step closer to adopting". And that's exactly what it is, one step closer, one more thing checked off the list, one more open door. And we're thankful! Pray for us, our social worker Kathie, and most importantly for the kids God has chosen for us! We can't wait to meet them!
We are currently searching for a bigger house and believe we've identified a piece of property that would be a perfect fit, the house just isn't livable and it's a bit beyond our current means. If you are one of those creative thinkers, and know about real estate and property and such, put on your thinking cap for us!
The next month or so means a home study, getting our dossier together and getting our kids' passports and shots out of the way. They are thrilled :) Thanks all, for your excitement, support and encouragement!
