Quiet, but not bored...

Oh, we've been busy! Our big $1 sale brought in $1800, enough for 1 of the 6 round trip and 2-oneway plane tickets we're going to need this Fall! We're ecstatic! A second sale is being hosted for us by Sherwood Friends Church (23264 SW Main Street. Sherwood) on July 23rd if you missed the first one! This will be a regular garage sale but just as large! Hope you can make it!

Next up on our agenda is our Six4Six Adoption Benefit! I am so grateful to have a good friend in photography approach me with this idea a month or two ago: Local real estate agents Todd & Leslie McCabe (well known in Sherwood for their generosity and philanthropic endeavors) created a "Make Money Grow" challenge and gave $60 to 26 community members, including my friend Diana Sell. They asked that the individual grow the money to the best of their ability over 6 months and then give it to a local cause, charity or someone in need. Diana approached me wanting to do something to assist with our adoption fees. We talked and hatched a creative plan, got two other photographers we'd worked with in the past on charitable causes, and Six4Six was born!

On August 6th, from 10-2 in Stella Olsen Park (Sherwood), the four of us photographers will be doing 20 minute photo shoots for a minimum donation of $60. In return, our clients will receive 6 high-resolution images and the donation will go toward our adoption expenses! Many local vendors are providing food and drinks available for donation, and helping out in other ways. It is going to be so much fun and we hope you'll join us!
